Welcome from the Head Teacher - Iain White

I am delighted to welcome you to the Govan High Centenary website.  It is a time of great excitement for the school and we have many activities and events in the planning.  We are desperately keen that as many Govanites, former pupils and friends of the school as possible get involved with us during the Centenary year.

We have set up this website with the idea that it will grow into a historical record of the life of Govan High.  To that end we are busy collecting memorabilia.  If you have any old school photos, reports, magazines or programmes please get in touch.  We shall arrange to copy them, put them on the site and return the originals to you.  We are also very keen to collect your memories of the school if you are a former pupil so jot them down and send them in!

I am very proud to have been the Head of this fine old school for over 15 years now.  As we approach 2010, we can all share in the pride we have in the school and its successes.  Most of all we are proud of all the young people in whom Govan High has developed the skills that have allowed them to be successful in life - here in Govan and in every part of the globe where this website will be enjoyed.
